About WifiTransfer

WifiTransfer is an application to transfer files to and from your Ubuntu Touch phone with FTP.

A simple FTP server for Ubuntu Touch devices; start it and then connect to your device from your normal FTP application on your computer (the file manager, Filezilla, or any other) using the connection details provided.
Wifitransfer relies on aioftp which may behave unpredictably with some FTP clients, such as Dolphin - due to incomplete support for certain FTP features - while working reliably with others like FileZilla.

Recent Changes

- Fix for Noble (24.04), due to incompatibility, replace FTP server pyftpdlib by aioftp v0.27.2 (issue #11)
- Detect if a Wi-Fi connection is on or off and do not allow FTP if no Wi-Fi connection (issue #6)
- Update python-zeroconf to 0.148.0 and ifaddr to 0.2.0 (issue #4)

yea i understand that this is not the developer its fault, but this is way to slow for convenient use. im alot quicker using a cable what the whole point of wifi transfer is

This is the only one app that gives me ability to send any music or videos to my phone! Thank you for a great work! It has some problems, but works, and this is great.
