Enable Snap support on Ubuntu Touch 20.04

About Snapz0r

ATTENTION: This utility makes changes to your system which may or may not disappear during a system update. Make sure to re-enable the changes once you've updated your system.

This little helper utility enables the use of Snaps on Ubuntu Touch 20.04.

For proper support make sure to ask your device's maintainer to enable the following kernel defconfig switches:

CONFIG_SQUASHFS=y
CONFIG_SQUASHFS_XZ=y
CONFIG_SQUASHFS_LZO=y

Worked on UT20.04, not no UT24.04, installed Snap via Github/terminal, but X11 is no joy on this vollaphone22, rather go for native apps whenever possible- often, keyboard is missing, and fonts too small. Nice idea, but not working in this environment- rather take Waydroid, if OpenStore is not sufficient.

Works for me, for the most part. PineTab 2. Found snaps using classic confinement will just fail. The app won't go back and retry for classic, or detect that classic is needed. Small bug but causes some issues for certain important apps.

Has me put in my password. I press the button to enable kernel support. It spins for a few seconds, restarts my phone, and goes back to the add kernel support button. It doesn't load anything other than that. OnePlus 6T
