About OSM Scout Server

Warning: On updates from versions before 3.1.5 or from focal to noble, you may find the background service to constantly fail. In that case, use the following workaround (only necessary once):
1. Navigate to Settings and disable automatic start and confirm (arrow in the top right).
2. Navigate to Settings and enable automatic start and confirm.
3. Close and open the App once more. Maybe you need to restart your system, too (or restart the background service).

OSM Scout Server is a native offline maps provider. This server can be used as a drop-in replacement for online map services providing map tiles, search, and routing. As a result, together with the map client, a full offline solution is available for map search and navigation (car, bicycle, and walking).

Preparations:
* Download maps and select language in OSM Scout Server
* Install a compatible navigation app
* Pure Maps: https://open-store.io/app/pure-maps.jonnius
* uNav: https://open-store.io/app/navigator.costales

Usage:
* PureMaps: Select Offline profile in app settings
* uNav: Disable Online Maps in app settings

Note: The OSM Scout Server is unconfined in order to run as a background service and provide a localhost server used by navigation apps

Note: Since 2.0.0 it is not necessary anymore to manually start the server app before starting the navigation app. Disabling background suspension is also not necessary anymore.

@rudra: also couldn't load maps.PLaced phone directly near router, downloading was faster and did not hang! Loaded 10GB maps . :)

Doesn't work. Unable to download offline maps even for specific location. UI is complicated. Download takes forever but stops eventually when your screen is off.

This is awesome! Works flawlessly with both Puremaps and uNav and this solved multiple issues for both of the maps due to spotty data connection on 3a XL.
