About Dekko

Dekko is an email client for Ubuntu Touch. It does allow configuration of multiple accounts and for several identities. Configuration allows to quickly set up accounts from some providers like Google, iCloud or Outlook. IMAP and POP3 accounts for other providers work just fine.
Some providers require app passwords to be set up. Please check with your provider.

Tip: To prevent Dekko hanging when waking from suspension, enable a lifecycle exception in UT Tweak Tool. Dekko will still suspend it's interface so no costly animations will take place. But this will allow it to receive signals from the background service without them getting queued up, which is the cause of the hanging.

Once set up, it works fantastic. The UI is very fluent and innovative. A couple more error messages would really help the setup process though

doesnt want to connect to gmail or outlook imap/smtp servers. using pixel 3a xl on ubuntu touch 24.04.1 daily. OAuth integration would be a nice feature.

None of the preconfigured account types (Gmail, Hotmail, iCloud, haven't tested Yahoo) work unless you configure them from the normal IMAP/POP3/SMTP screens. However, then it still doesn't work for any services that require OAuth2 due to general requirements or 2FA. Once it works it works great, but given the fact it's currently really the only mail client for UT devices you're left with only partial email access.
