About Annotate

Annotate is a lightweight HTML5 application that lets you draw, write, highlight and annotate your PDF files.

This is a public beta! Everything should work, but there may be bugs. Please make sure to report bugs if you encounter any!

Currently supported:
- Create new, empty documents
- Import existing PDF files
- Draw on the pages
- Type text on the pages (not comfortable to use!)
- Highlight elements
- Erase elements
- Rename files (characters are limited)
- Delete files
- Export files to PDF and share them with other apps
- Undo/redo

Coming soon (check the changelog for new features!):
- Images
- Add/duplicate pages
- Share a document in Annotate format, for transfer between devices
- Translation to other languages

Known issues:
- Exporting files with highlighter will make the highlighter look opaque (#3)
- Exporting shows a download pop-up (#4)
- Sharing a document from another app to Annotate won't work (#5)
- Large PDF files (>10Mb) may take a lot of time to load on less performant devices

Recent Changes

- Improve performance for large PDF files by not rendering offscreen pages
- Re-enable scaling on zoom now that performance issues are fixed :)
